The Story of Planet Acorn

Playful, sincere worlds built through story, characters, and connection.

Hi, I’m Bobby Youngblood, creator of Planet Acorn.

Planet Acorn began as a simple, grounding ritual — collecting acorns by hand as a form of healing and meditation when I moved to Georgia ten years ago.

What started as handmade crafts and nature art slowly grew into storytelling, performance, film, and community events.

Today, Planet Acorn is a living, growing world of characters, stories, gatherings, and creative experiences designed to help people connect — with themselves, with their families, and with each other.

Over time, the creative work grew into storytelling, video, live performance, and community events.

Through YouTube, festivals, parties, ceremonies, and collaborations, Planet Acorn became a place where stories could be told in many different ways.

My work is for children, adults, and everyone in between.

Because the moments that matter most are the ones we share together.

I believe creativity helps people connect across generations, across communities, and across differences.

Planet Acorn is built to create those moments.

Creativity brings people together
— Bobby

I don’t just want to perform — I want to create spaces where other people can share their creativity too.

Through events, collaborations, videos, and community projects, Planet Acorn is about connection, imagination, and making something together.

Two men sitting in a cozy room engaging in conversation, with tea cups and teapot on the table, and a large wall decoration of a stylized face with glasses, a mustache, and a brain on the wall behind them.
Man dressed as a colorful clown with a blue top hat, orange wig, green glasses, and vibrant patterned clothing, holding a mug, against a plain background.
A professional portrait of a middle-aged man with dark hair, a beard and blue eyes, wearing a formal navy blue suit, light blue shirt, and a striped tie, standing against a plain light-colored background.
A person dressed in a squirrel costume sitting on a park bench talking to an elderly woman with glasses, a white knit hat, and gloves, holding a yellow flyer and a walking stick. The scene is outdoors with parked cars in the background.
A street festival scene with three people in front of marketplace stalls. A man dressed in colorful, patterned suit, wearing a black hat, glasses, a yellow bowtie, and gold and black shoes. He has his arms around two young girls, both smiling. One girl in a pink shirt and black pants with beige shoes, and the other in a gray shirt with a butterfly design, yellow pants, and purple shoes. The girl in yellow holds a plush toy, and the girl in pink is holding a shopping bag. The background shows more festivalgoers and vendor tents on a sunny day.

LET’S CREATE SOMETHING TOGETHER

If you’re planning an event, a ceremony, or something unusual, I’d love to hear about it.
